Thyroid

The thyroid is a small, butterfly-shaped gland located in the front of the neck, just below the Adam’s apple. It plays a crucial role in regulating various metabolic processes in the body. The thyroid gland produces hormones that influence the function of many organs, including the heart, brain, liver, and kidneys. The two primary hormones produced by the thyroid are thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3).
